This DUO pack includes 2 TYT TH-UV88 walkie-talkies, usable with an amateur radio licence, in FM on the 144/430MHz bands (2m and 70cm) with a power of 5 Watts in VHF and 4 Watts in UHF, and includes the following accessories: 2 x 1400mAh batteries + 2 x 3200mAh HP batteries (with USB-C recharging port), 2 earpieces and 1 USB programming cable.

The TH-UV88 is equipped with an 88-108 MHz FM radio (WFM), LED light, 200 programmable channels, CTCSS/DCS, 1750 Hz call tone for relays, DTMF encoding/decoding, 2 and 5 tone, 2 simultaneous frequency standby and VOX hands-free function.

Supplied with: 2 TYT TH-UV88, 2 desktop chargers EU 220V socket, 2 belt clips, 2 dual-band VHF-UHF antennas, 2 1400mAh batteries, 2 HP 3200mAh batteries, 2 earpieces, 1 USB programming cable and 1 French manual.

The range is 3 to 5 km in an open area, from a few hundred metres to 1 km in an urban environment open to the outdoors, and more than 10 km on a high point in the mountains, for example, with a direct line of sight.

To improve the range: use an antenna with an SMA male connector, such as the Diamond SRH-771 (40cm) or the Nagoya NA-771 (39cm SMA male).

Using the 1750 Hz

To activate the 1750hz tone and trigger the opening of an amateur radio relay, press and hold the button on the left-hand side: Site Key 1 (above the PTT button). The walkie-talkie then switches to transmit and transmits the 1750 hz tone.

Changing VFO / Memory mode

To switch from VFO mode to memory mode, or vice versa, briefly press the # key at the bottom right of the keypad.

Recording a memory channel

In VFO mode, enter the frequency to be recorded from the keypad or select the frequency with the one keys by pressing 【▲】or 【▼】and then press and hold down the F key.

The channel number flashes on the right of the LCD, press 【▲】or 【▼】to select the desired number, then press the # (radio) key on the keypad to save it.

To delete a memory channel

1) In VFO mode, press and hold the F key, the number will flash on the right of the LCD screen
2) Press the 【▲】or 【▼】keys to select the number of the channel you wish to delete, then press the * (lock) key to confirm.

Switching on the torch

To switch the torch on, briefly press Site Key 1 above the PTT button. briefly press Site Key 1 again to switch it off.

Switching on the 88-108 MHz FM radio

To switch on the FM radio, press and hold the # key at the bottom right of the keypad. To turn it off, press and hold down the # key. While listening to an FM radio, if a signal is detected and the dual monitor DW function is activated (menu 34), the walkie-talkie will mute the FM radio to switch to the active VHF/UHF frequency.

Reminder: Use of the TYT TH-UV88 walkie-talkie is subject to compliance by the user with the frequencies and legislation in force in the country of use and requires a radio licence to be legally used for transmission. If the radio is unbundled and used outside the frequency bands indicated on the equipment, the walkie-talkie will no longer be CE-compliant and will not be covered by the warranty.
