The Wouxun KG-UV9K dual band VHF-UHF walkie-talkie has the same functionality as the KG UV-9D with the new frequency step 8.33kHz for aviation band, the UV9K covers 144-146Mhz and UHF 430-440Mhz, with 5 watts in VHF and 4W in UHF and has a 7-band VHF-UHF scanner in RX only.

Split not showing in programong software.
Hi and good morning. Well I like the radio very much but the main reason I bought it was to work Satellites but have a problem. When I down loaded the RT software and Chirp they both do not show Offset Direction for the get Split. Any information would be helpful. Many thanks and for all your past deliveries. Regards. Super récepteur mais à maitriser

Matériel parfait mais un peu dur à maitriser tous les paramètres. Surtout les programmation des bande de fréquences car je n'avais pas accès aux PMR 446. Le problème a été réglé avec CHRIP

Good on receive, poor daylight screen visibility

pros:
Good receive filtering and senitivity.
Feels like a solid radio.
Battery has 4 terminals Looks like external cell balancer could be used to balance the battery.
All front keyboard buttons are lit, and readable in total dark.

cons:
Display is hard to read outside even on a not so bright cloudy snowy day.
Tx power is not so great. Judging by a distance, a repeater can be activated certainly not 4-5W !
Manufacturer programming software works, but it lacks some basic functions and is a real pain to use.
K model not supported in Chirp.
