The Yaesu FTA-250L is a transceiver for the VHF AM aviation band from 118 to 136Mhz, IPX5 and MIL-STD-810F approved for use in harsh environments with rain, splashes and projections.

The new Yaesu FTA-250L aviation VHF handset is 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz compatible.

An audio output of 700 mW ensures that radio calls are not lost even in noisy environments. The FTA-250 also includes a noise reduction function on reception and transmission.

With Yaesu SCU-15 audio adapter included to connect a headset with 6.3mm (PJ-055) and 5.23mm (PJ-068) plug.

Comes with: 1 Yaesu FTA-250L, Li-Ion Battery (SBR-25LI 7.4V, 1950 mAh), 220V charger, cigarette lighter cord, antenna, belt clip, aviation headset adapter cord (SCU-15), manual in english to download below, 3 year warranty.

Since January 1, 2018, all aircraft will be required to use the new 8.33khz standard, instead of 25 kHz on the VHF aviation AM 118-137Mhz band (aero COM band) and for all air-ground communications in below FL 195 in Europe.


Approval of Yaesu FTA-250L for air operation

OSAC response thanks to the connection via the DGAC:

VHF FTA 250L
Bonjour, le matériel semble de qualité, à confirmer dans le temps. Un manuel papier en français est joint ce qui est bien car les paramétrages ne sont pas intuitifs. Toutefois, aucune explication n\'apparaît quant au réglage en 8,33 khz. Seul la vidéo spécifique en anglais sur le site donne l\'explication.
