The mAT-40 is an automatic HF/SSB tuner that allows quick tuning of any unbalanced or single wire antenna automatically.

Depending on the interface cable added, it can work with Yaesu (mAT-40-Y), ICOM (mAT-40-M) and KENWOOD (mAT-40-K) transceivers.

Frequency range: 1.6 to 54.0 MHz. Integrated frequency sensor
Maximum power: 0.1 to 120 watts of peak SSB and CW power, 30 watts in PSK and digital modes, and 100 watts SSB on 6 meters
Tuning time: 0.1 to 5 seconds of full tuning, 0.1 seconds of memory tuning
Minimum tunable antenna length: 2.5 m

The mAT-40 also has an advanced memory setting, providing 16,000 memory locations. When you tune near a previously used frequency, it will recall the settings for almost instantaneous tuning. It learns your favourite frequencies and bands as you use it. You can also start a tuning cycle manually if necessary.

It can operate in all kinds of harsh outdoor environments and is only 20cm in size, making it the smallest outdoor antenna tuner.

Important note: When operating in FT8/FT4 digital mode, or in AM or RTTY carrier mode, maximum power must be reduced by at least half (30-40W max recommended), and when tuning, transmitter power must be kept to a minimum (5W), otherwise the tuner will burn out and the warranty will not cover excessive power.
