The Spiderbeam Robust (Heavy Duty) 14m fibreglass telescopic mast is a great choice for using a wide variety of 40/80/160m long-wire and GP or inverted L antennas, lightweight 1-element Quad or Delta loops for 20-10m, as well as dipoles for all HF and VHF-UHF bands, this mast can support small VHF/UHF yagi antennas to a height of 10-12m.

This 14m telescopic mast can be erected in a few minutes by a single person and has been specially designed for the robustness and durability requirements of portable equipment. It measures 119cm when fully folded and weighs 5kg.

It has a much thicker wall, 2mm at its thickest, than the usual 'fishing rod'.

It can be used with AWG 18 (= 1mm diameter) enamelled copper wire or similar to build vertical antennas, loops, dipoles, etc.

For guy wires, a Mastrant-P2 synthetic rope synthetic rope of 1.6mm or more will work perfectly.

Supplied with: 1 Spiderbeam 14m mast with simple fixing kit.

Unlike the poles offered by most competitors, the top segment of the Spiderbeam mast is not a very thin, fragile whip. Instead, this mast can be used to its full 14m length, offering great flexibility and optimum use of height.

It uses a special reinforcement winding technique, where several layers of glass fibre are wound in an alternating direction (cross-winding), which considerably increases their lateral and linear strength.

The joints between the different tube segments are also strengthened thanks to a larger-than-usual overlap.

Unlike other poles where the top segment is very thin like a whip, the top segment of Spiderbeam Heavy Duty poles has a diameter of 8mm (and a wall thickness of 1.4mm), allowing them to be used over their entire 14m length.
