For purchases made on Passion Radio Shop, Yaesu equipment is guaranteed for 5 years.

Before returning a material under warranty, a detailed request must be made by email to: retour@passion-radio.com.

Any material sent without agreement will be refused and returned to the sender.

YAESU Europe repair service

The official warranty and repair center of Yaesu in Europe is located in Italy where the item is to be sent for service.

The Yaesu Europe After Sales Service is in direct contact with YAESU for the solution of the most complex problems, and is equipped with certified and technologically advanced instruments and testers dedicated exclusively to YAESU products.

Fast repairs are possible thanks to the 25,000 YAESU spare parts available at the Yaesu Europe After Sales Service.

Conditions of warranty

The warranty applies to normal use and according to the common rules of use of radio communication equipment and the specifications indicated by YAESU.

The warranty does not cover breakdowns or problems resulting from

- Misuse or non-compliance with the rules of use of the equipment
- Projection or immersion of the equipment in water (except IP67 equipment)
- A bad adjustment, configuration or installation of the material, software, drivers
- Use of unofficial firmware
- Exposure of the equipment to an electrostatic field, e.g. thunderstorm, lightning
- Short circuit, polarity inversion, electric shock
- Use of the equipment outside the specifications and/or frequencies indicated by the manufacturer
- Batteries are not covered under the warranty, only in the case of a battery received defective on delivery and to be reported within a maximum of 30 days from the date of receipt
- Any damage to the power amplifier (PA)
- Incorrect adjustment of the antenna (VSWR)

During the warranty period, the customer is responsible for the shipping costs to Yaesu Europe's service center, and Yaesu Europe is responsible for the return shipping costs of the equipment within the warranty period.

Repair procedure

1 - The radio is under warranty.

Repairs are made at no cost to the customer and Yaesu Europe returns the repaired equipment to the customer at no cost.

Usually the repair time is one week.

2 - The radio is no longer under warranty.

If the radio received is no longer covered by the warranty because it has expired, the YAESU Europe After Sales Service will analyze the defect and if the cost exceeds 100 euros, it will communicate to the customer the estimate for the repair. The cost of verification in order to establish the estimate will be 30 euros and will be charged only if the customer decides not to proceed with the repair.

3 - The repairs to be carried out are not covered by the warranty.

If the warranty is cancelled for the reasons indicated in the Yaesu limited warranty, the intervention will be suspended, the customer will be informed immediately and will proceed as in the previous point, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

4 - The information received does not correspond to the real situation of the transceiver.

It may happen that the radio does not have the defects declared by the customer. In this case, the YAESU Europe After Sales Service will contact the customer to discuss the cause of the problem due to technical factors external to the radio, such as problems with computer operation or others.
