HD DTT TV receiver or scanner?
You can use this TV receiver USB key in classic HD DTT mode, or in SDR receiver-scanner mode, in which case don't install the DTT drivers, just the RTL-SDR drivers.
Choosing the aerial for DTT and SDR reception
To receive DTT television and digital radio, the aerial supplied is generally sufficient if you are in a town with normal coverage. In all cases, we recommend that you place the aerial as close as possible to a window and high up on a metal support, using the magnetic base.
If you have an outdoor TV aerial or a collective UHF aerial (a rake), you'll significantly improve reception quality and signal levels.
Tip: Increase the reception range of the DTT HD signal with the MCX <> TV adapter to connect the DTT USB key to an external or collective UHF TV aerial socket.
To use this USB stick in SDR scanner mode, you need to choose an aerial suited to the frequency range to be listened to in VHF and/or UHF and put an aerial outside, on a windowsill or ideally as high and clear as possible on a roof.

No sound on HD DTT channels on Windows 10?
If you can't get sound on certain channels, particularly HD DTT channels, on Windows 7 or 10, the main reason is the lack of AC3 audio codecs on Windows.
AC3 codecs can be downloaded by installing ffdshow in 32-bit and 64-bit versions, the 2 32-bit and 64-bit versions to be downloaded below are required.
Microsoft DTV codecs cannot be used in AC3 and EAC3 because they are explicitly locked by Microsoft against use by applications other than their own.
Use ffdshow-tryouts for EAC3.
