In 'normal' mode, this USB stick can be used to receive DTT channels, but it can also be used simply as a wideband VHF-UHF receiver-scanner from 24 Mhz to 1700 MHz in theory.

This is made possible by the Realtek RTL2832U chipset and R820T tuner fitted to this model of DTT USB stick, which provides bandwidth in all modes (AM, FM, FM wide, SSB, CW, DATA, DMR) from 50Mhz to 1.5Ghz, with no holes, in practice!

Supplied with : DTT key only (no remote control, no CD, no aerial to choose with MCX male connector).

We offer a Passion Radio SDR Pack ready to use with all the accessories you need, including the SDR converter for adding MF and HF bands from 0.5 to 50Mhz!

On the same computer, you must choose between using the USB key in DTT mode with the original drivers, or in SDR receiver-scanner mode, in which case you don't need to install the DTT drivers to use SDR.

The aerial connector on the USB key is MCX Female, to connect another aerial cable you will need an MCX Male connector.

Choice of antenna for SDR reception

To use this USB key in SDR scanner mode, we strongly recommend that you choose an antenna suited to the VHF and/or UHF frequency range to be listened to, and that you place the antenna outside, on a windowsill or, ideally, as high and unobstructed as possible on the roof.

Consult the range ofSDR antennas compatible with SMA, as well as the mounting brackets to suit your configuration and requirements in terms of frequencies to be listened to.
