The Signalink SLUSB-8R interface pack with the SLMOD8RK module is compatible with Kenwood & Alinco radios equipped with an 8-pin micro such as: TS-450, TS-680, TS-690, TS-780, TS-790, TS-850, TS-940, TS-950

Note: This interface does not allow frequency control (CAT control) on the radio station used, it allows switching to PTT and sending a signal to the radio station and receiving it, thanks to the USB peripherals created.

PWR / SPKR Jumper Settings - To maintain compatibility with as many radios as possible, this jumper module has two small jumpers that can be set to enable power and audio speaker.

PWR - This jumper is *NOT* used with the SignaLink USB, but can be installed to power the older SignaLink SL-1 or SL-1+ model from your radio if there is enough power available on pin #5 of the mic connector (check your radio's manual).

SPKR - This jumper should only be installed if your radio has an audio speaker on pin #6 of the Mic jack (check your radio manual).  If the audio speaker is not available, you will need to connect an audio cable between the radio and the SignaLink as described in the SignaLink installation manual.

The SignaLink USB supports virtually ALL digital modes that are available for sound card interfaces including but not limited to, PSK31, MT-63, WSJT/WSJT-X  modes (FT8, JT4, JT9, JT65, QRA64, ISCAT, MSK144, WSPR, JTMS, FSK441, FSK315, ISCAT, and JT6M.), SSTV, APRS ®, Packet (300 and 1200 baud), VARA HF, VARA Narrow, and VARA Wide.

The SignaLink USB also supports virtually ALL Voice modes (VOIP, RoIP, etc.), such as EchoLink®, and Zello. 

About the only modes that you can't operate with the SignaLink USB, or any other sound card interface, are Pactor, G-TOR and Clover.
