The new version of Anytone AT-D578UV PLUS V2 mobile radio features VFO mode, APRS in FM and DMR, with GPS and Bluetooth. The V2 now offers APRS RX as well as the VHF AM aviation band from 118 to 136 Mhz (RX only).

It covers VHF 144-146 Mhz (2m) and UHF 430-440 Mhz (70cm) amateur radio bands in FM analog and DMR digital mode, Tier I & II, Motorbro and Hytera, TDMA (2 TimeSlot) compatible.

Comes complete with: 1 ANYTONE AT-D578-UVII PLUS V2 dual band VHF-UHF with GPS antenna and Bluetooth PTT button included, English manual. 2 years warranty and free programming cable.

This set is sold unprogrammed, without frequency and without codeplug. Programming is to be done by the user. Passion Radio does not provide any more the support for the programming in DMR amateur radio due to the splitting of the DMR amateur radio networks and with different configurations.

How-To activate VFO mode and additional menus

To activate VFO mode as well as additional menus, here is how to proceed:

Go to the "Optional Settings" menu, then in the "Work Mode" menu then in the "choose working mode" drop-down menu, select the "amateur mode" mode, so that the modifications are taken into account, rewrite the codeplug on the radio.

Find the latest versions of the programming and firmware update software for the Anytone AT-578 in the "Download" section below.

BE AWARE: The firmware for the V1 is not compatible with the V2 version, the CPS v1.20 software is compatible with both versions.

The new firmware/CPS is compatible with CPS 1.20, but not with older CPS 1.19 or earlier.  

For radios prior to versions 1.19 or earlier, and to avoid any errors, we recommend that you proceed as follows when updating from an earlier version:

  1.     Save the codeplug in CPS 1.19 (or earlier) as an .rdt file.
  2.     Carry out the firmware update on the radio, and after completion of the firmware update, reset is essential
  3.     Launch CPS 1.20 and open the saved .rdt file.

Reminder: The use of the mobile DMR Anytone AT-D578-UVII PLUS V2 is subject to license and compliance by the user with the frequencies and legislation in force in his country.
