The Diamond HV7CX is a versatile mobile antenna designed for amateur radio use on the HF 7/21/28 MHz, VHF 50 & 144 MHz and UHF 430 MHz frequency bands.

Its robust construction and ease of installation make it an ideal choice for use in mobile conditions with a single antenna for all the bands covered:

HF: 40m (7MHz), 15m (21MHz), 10m (28MHz) and with the optional HVC14CX strand: 30m (10MHz) and 20m (7MHz)
VHF: 6m (50MHz), 2m (144MHz)
UHF: 70cm (430MHz)

Maximum power: 120W (SSB) HF and 200W VHF/UHF
Length: 1.9 metres
Base: Tiltable
Connector type: PL-259

Depending on the set the antenna is used with, we recommend adding the MX-62M diplexer to separate the HF and VHF/UHF bands.

Instructions for use

1 - The HV7CX antenna requires a very good ground plane in order to be tuned to the HF bands. For the VHF and UHF bands, it can operate without a ground plane.

2 - We do not recommend the use of a magnetic base with this antenna and recommend a car mount grounded to the vehicle chassis or a pierced mount.

3 - To adjust the VSWR on the HF bands, we recommend starting by adjusting the 50MHz band (6m), then the other HF bands by adjusting the size of the strands on each band. There is no adjustment for the VHF-UHF band; the antenna is pre-set for the 2m and 70cm bands.
