The RC-2 portable remote control system was designed for the new AlexLoop HamPack.

The RC-2 design was created to explore the maximum possibilities of the AlexLoop HamPack from a distance.

The larger knob on the RC-2 remote tuner allows the operator to select the band/frequency on which he wishes to operate and the direction in which he should turn the knob to switch to a higher or lower band/frequency.

The tuning speed control knob is located below the larger tuning knob.

A higher tuning speed allows the desired band/frequency to be located quickly. A sudden increase in band noise indicates that the operator is close to the best tuning point for transmission and reception.

The operator should then select a continuous carrier mode (AM or FM) on the transceiver and press and hold the PTT. (Some modern transceivers have an XMIT button to generate a carrier signal).

Now, using a slower tuning speed, turn the tuning knob right and left until the LED shines brightest. The transceiver will now display the lowest SWR. Release the PTT and choose the mode (SSB, CW, FM, AM or digital mode) in which you wish to operate.

The RC-2 handheld remote control is powered by a standard 9-volt alkaline battery (not included).

Important: The AlexLoop RC-2 remote control is precision electronic equipment. Although it is designed to last a long time, it is important to take care of it and never place heavy objects on it.

The RC-2 is a must have accessory for your AlexLoo
After using an AlexLoop for a period of time, I found myself having to get up and tune it often especially when switching bands. The alexloop remote control tuner solves this issue. The tuner kit comes with everything to attach the remote tuner in a very nice padded bag which matches the Alexloop Hampack. The tuner installs In a few min and you are up and running. instructions are straightforward. Operation of the alexloop is simple with 2 knobs. One is for turning the dial and the other for on/off and setting the turning speed of the main dial. This works well. My operating experience is so much more ienjoyable not having to get up to tune the antenna .. ii can do it from my seat. I forgot to say I use my Alexloop in my home office which works well. too. Thanks to passion radio for a great ordering experience.
