- Integrated 9:1 UNUN: converts an impedance of 450 Ohms (+/-) into an impedance close to 50 Ohms.
- Connections: SO-239 (UHF female) for the coaxial feed line and two mechanical screw terminals with wing nuts for connection to the wire antenna and an optional earth connection.
- Static reduction: The earth connection helps minimise static build-up and provides protection in the event of lightning strikes.
- Installation flexibility: Can be installed in a straight line, at an angle, or in a variety of other ways to suit limited or specific spaces.
- Installation: The power point should be positioned as high as possible, with the other end of the wire extended as far as possible for best performance.
- IMPORTANT: Maximum power is indicated in PEP and is for amateur radio use in intermittent mode (CW or SSB) only. 50-60W max. en FT8, AM ou RTTY
Not suitable for AM broadcasting or constant carrier data modes (such as FT8 or RTTY) at high power (100W). For these modes, reduce power considerably (50W max recommended) to avoid overheating and damage to the balun. For full-power use in constant-carrier modes, opt for a QRO balun.
