Bencher BY-1 CW Vibroplex keyer with a black powder coated laminated steel base.

The underside of the BY-1 has 3 female and male connection terminals for ground and each of the DIT and DAH connections.

The Bencher BY-1 features iambic double lever paddles with adjustable contact spacing and tension, self-adjusting needle bearings, solid silver gold plated contacts, polished clear Lucite paddles, heavy steel bases and non-slip feet.

The main frame, contact post and bearing ring are machined from solid brass, providing a definitive but subtle tactile return, no friction and perfect closure of every dot and dash.

HF transceivers equipped with a 3.5mm or 6.35mm KEY input jack can be connected directly with the optional EZ-1 kit.

The optional EZ-1 kit has a 3-wire cable with the correct female terminals at one end for the BY-1 and BY-2, at the other end a 3.5mm connector with a 6.35mm adapter.
