The World Radio TV Handbook WRTH 2024 (78th edition) is the world's most accurate and comprehensive directory of radio broadcasting stations. With 816 pages, it has been a reference since 1947 in the world of listeners (SWL) and DXers, radio enthusiasts and radio amateurs.

It contains frequencies and broadcasting times by country for AM shortwave, mediumwave and FM radio broadcasts, as well as national television, underground and non-governmental radio stations.

This guide includes a review of the best radios available on the market, as well as forecasts of solar activity and DX propagation to improve reception performance on short and medium wave (SW, MW, LW).

The WRTH 2024 guide is divided into 6 sections:

Features: This section is full-colour and contains reviews of radio receivers and equipment, news on topical issues such as digital radio, broadcaster interviews, reception conditions, coloured maps showing the location of SW transmitters, and other topics of interest to listeners, SWLs and DXers.

National Radio: This section covers national radio services around the world. The listings are sorted by country and include all stations broadcasting in LW, MW and SW, and most stations broadcasting in FM, together with their contact details.

International Radio: This section gives full details of all broadcasters broadcasting internationally and is sorted by country. The schedules shown are the "winter" B or SW frequencies provided by the broadcasters and confirmed by listening, as well as the LW or MW frequencies used.

This section also contains a sub-section indicating covert and other broadcasters classified by target country. The 'A' or 'Summer' programmes, together with updates of broadcaster information, are available as a downloadable PDF file (optional) in May each year.

Please note that SW international broadcast frequencies change twice a year. The "B" season comes into effect at the end of October each year and the "A" season at the end of March. It usually takes 4-6 weeks after the start of the season for broadcasters to agree on the final frequencies they will use, although changes continue to be made.

Frequency lists: This section contains lists of MW frequencies grouped by frequency in the regions, lists of all international and national SW broadcasts in frequency order, and international SW broadcasts in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, and DRM broadcasts indicated by UTC.

Television - The TV section contains information on the main national terrestrial broadcasters, major regional networks and some local stations, listed alphabetically by country.

Reference - This section contains tables and site lists of international and national transmitters, broadcasts in standard time and frequency, DX Club information, international organisations and other useful listening information.

Dommage en anglais et pas de CD

Guide Simple mais efficace.
Guide bien réalisé. Certes en anglais. Mais pas besoin d'être expert en anglais pour regarder un listing de plus de 500 pages de noms de radios répertoriées par pays. Je le recommande sans hésiter aux RA,CB,SWL... Amitiés à tous...

Très déçu
Dommage qu\'il n\'y ai pas eu d\'édition en français. Pour ceux qui portent des lunettes, la lecture de ce livre peut-être difficile à certains endroits, notamment sur les listes bien trop rapprochées les unes des autres.
