This Yaesu SCU57 connection kit also allows the user of an FT-3D or FT-2D, to have a WIRES-X portable node station by directly connecting the computer by USB to the audio ports of a Windows computer, with the cables supplied.
Thanks to this new function, it is possible to directly access the WIRES-X connected network using the PTT button and the microphone of the walkie-talkie. The SCU-57 kit with the transceiver can also function as a WIRES-X access point.
With this connection kit, the HRI-200 Internet interface is not required to use the portable WIRES-X node function.
Note that the FT2D requires a firmware update to the latest version, to support the C4FM (Yaesu System Fusion) portable digital node function.
Comes with: 1 Yaesu SCU-55 USB cable, 1 CT-44 adapter, 2 Jack 2.5mm audio cables, Yaesu genuine warranty, delivered without CD.
